Quinoa protein balls
Easy as protein balls - No blending required!!
Depending on the quality of ingredients you use, these have no added sugar and no nasties.
Good, clean snacks to get you through the day and kill those sweet cravings!
Recipe:
4 tablespoons of good quality peanut butter
4 tablespoons of greek yoghurt (I use Chobani)
2 scoops of protein powder (has to be a nice tasting one! I use bulk nutrients banana flavour)
½ cup quinoa flakes
½ cup chopped almonds
2 tbsp cranberries
2 tsp chia seeds
2 tbsp coconut (for rolling)
Mix everything together apart from coconut. Roll into golf ball sized rounds.
Roll balls in coconut.
This gave me 8 good sized balls which were good in an air tight container for about 5 days.
Halve for less or double or triple for more!!!
Easy!!
The bf taste tested these and said they taste like "Cadel bars" that he has for cycling (which apparently are pretty yum!). Enjoy :-)
